I’ve been trying to keep a low profile because I’ve been working on a project that tells me that to be successful at it, I should lay low for a while but you know what, the truth is the truth and what needs to be said gets said by me.
In the past two weeks there have been shameful stories about black men who spent thirty and thirty five years on death row for murders they did not commit. A damn shame! Then we have the George Zimmermans, the Darren Wilsons and the cops with the choke hold on Eric Garner on Staten Island in New York or the twelve year old boy, Tamir Rice, who was murdered by police in Cleveland OH. These criminals all walked free of freakin’ MURDER!!! Taking a life!!!
Now we have a case where some admittedly misguided teachers and administrators changed student’s test scores in Atlanta, GA and were convicted of racketeering, a felony that carries up to 20 years in prison and other charges..
Judge Jerry W. Baxter of Fulton County Superior Court of course, an overly misguided white judge, ordered most of the educators jailed immediately, and they were led from the courtroom in handcuffs. Where the hell were they going to escape to??? Judge Baxter, who presided over a trial that began more than six months ago, will begin sentencing hearings next week.
Likewise Mr. District Attorney Paul L. Howard Jr with his jaundiced and perverted view of justice should not gloat over this victory either. Sometimes, WE get caught up in being the “house negro” and think we are carrying out justice when we are really being used by the “white justice system” to put black folks behind bars. That is the INJUSTICE and they both need to step back and reflect on what they just did. They bring to mind what the dastardly republicans do, pass laws that prevent blacks and minorities from voting in the guise of preventing voter fraud where there is none.
Yet you two, under the cover of justice, will try and keep these people in prison for this minor crime…yeah, they were wrong but let’s be honest .. jail time…..20 years???? Just to prove you can do it?? When murderers go free??? The justice system in America is “fxdtup”, broken, badly broken and we can start to fix it by meting out justice and not punishment. By getting it right… unless all you want to do run up your scorecard. Send these people home to their families and let them not suffer anymore. Where are they going to get a job? They’ve lost wages, a pension and reputation, and will have a record; and that enough…… If you two “pillars of society” do less than that, you should not have your jobs either. Mete out JUSTICE and not punishment, that’s the right and honorable thing to do…..
And judge you have nothing to smile about what you just did, sending them off to jail with no chance to hug a loved one….. Mr. Prosecutor, there real criminals out there for you to prove from whom, you are protecting the public. Go do that and not unnecessarily wreak havoc on people, especially when there was no bodily harm done. You let druggies walk…. You let prostitutes out…you let Wall Street banker /cheaters walk when they steal billions! yes. you proscutors… in the mold of Bob McCulloch………
These folks have learned their lessons, and it will stay with them for the rest of their lives, judge. Get it right, send them home. Then you can rightfully smile.. …like Spike said, “Do the Right Thing!”
And Mr. Prosecutor (google him) you can wipe that scowl from your face, like you are serious. Serious means getting it right… …then you can smile, if you can…
Enough said, I’m out
I’ll be back soon, commenting on crap that needs to be aired…you know me…..where the hell is my “low profile”???
