Been away from this a while so much to talk about so maybe I start with current events and work back. That being said, first plaudits to a young fellow by the name of Elijah Miles, a Baltimore teen who gave a speech about what he wanted to do with his life, a life he dedicates to helping others. The speech has gone viral so I won’t get into the speech itself. you can find it and listen.
Another set of kudos to beautiful Antoinette Tuff described how she watched the suspect, Michael Brandon Hill, 20, from the Atlanta area load up an Ak47 with ammunition in front of her and several other employees who were being held hostage and exchange gunfire with the police. She was able to talk to the gunman, calm him and finally get him to put down his weapons and surrender with no injuries. She is a hero, no doubt. Later President Obama called her. What a great lady.
I have a question; is racial hatred alive and well in America? I think it is. The poison of prejudice in the older white population, in some quarters, is leaking down to the younger element. The Trayvon Martin matter, which was racial, brought out the covert attitudes of these people. The press, who carries every word and expressed thought of these lost people, continually gives them a false sense of entitlement to speak out. The tea-partiers in the republican party have the less conservative members bowing down to these base instincts because all that matters to them, is their reelection, and access to money that derives from their position in government. (bear in mind that this access to money is a direct result of the conservative rulings of the Supreme Court). Congress is not a life time job. I think its time to look at term limits; but I digress.
These aforementioned people are spiteful, hate mongering, racists who continue their futile effort to de-legitimize our duly elected President just because he is not all white. These low class folks do not realize their hatred is their hell and many of the programs the President and the democrats support are the very ones that they will benefit from. The useless republicans in Congress keep voting to repeal the Affordable Care Act instead of supporting health care for millions of people that will reduce the deficit. So let me know what you think…..is their hate hurting America?
